Trigonometry

Course Description: This course is intended to teach the student college level trigonometry. Topics include angles and angle measurement, circles, basic trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and problem solving, including triangle trigonometry.

Course Objectives: By the end of this course,

  1. The student will be able to understand angles and how to measure angles.

  2. The student will be able to handle the six basic trigonometric functions.

  3. The student will understand and be able to prove many trigonometric identities.

  4. The student will be able to solve trigonometric equations.

  5. The student will be able to understand and manipulate inverse trigonometric functions.

Prerequisites: Algebra II

This course is typically offered in the Fall semester and is taught by Dr. Diener. Students are recommended to cake this course simultaneously with Advanced Algebra.
